Tosh Lupoi is not cool at all. How could you leave us for Washington. I still believe Cal football will go to the Rose Bowl this year, so pretty sad that he is going to miss out on that. And Kiesau leaving too, and Solomon being ruled ineligible for basketball for the rest of the year has made this a tough week for Cal athletics.

Got some news shoes this weekend, some new running shoes to get ready for the rematch against Oscar and some black shoes to be able to play basketball in. As a sidenote, I hit a left-handed baby hook in the post in our basketball game this weekend and gave a shout out to Shane Battier as my inspiration on the way down the court. I miss him so much, but Rockets are red-hot right now, NBA better watch out.

At work there was a slight awkwardness when someone sent me a thank you note and I didn’t thank them for sending me the thank you note. I don’t get it, why do I need to thank them or acknowledge the thank you at all. Is that etiquette to thank someone for a thank you note, and if it is, then when do the thank yous ever end?

- Predicted the Broncos would beat the Steelers on Sunday because Tebow is the guy that when you count him out always finds a way to win. That is exactly why I am predicting the Patriots to beat the Broncos this weekend. Not because the Patriots have an unstoppable QB / TE, are at home, #1 seed, have one of the best coaches of all time… no, it isn’t because of all that, it is because people think Tebow has a chance to lead his team to victory this week, and when people aren’t doubting Mr. Tebow he isn’t able to shock us like he did this weekend.

Not all women should have bangs… just a thought

At work today a co-worker today was reminiscing about how much he missed Mervyns. I wasn’t sure if he was joking or not, so I walked away.

Rumor is Vanessa Bryant didn’t want to get divorced, but the only way she could star on basketball wives was to send in those divorce papers. Casting director said she had potential and was a lot of drama, but being married to a basketball player was a no-go for season 5. But seriously, as supportive as Vanessa has been through the years with Kobe, it was Basketball Wives that broke up their marriage. Crazy, almost as crazy as the rumor Ryan Braun tested positive for a banned substance because he was taking Herpes medication. I really hope that’s not true.

Something tells me John McCain is really bummed the Iraq war is over.

So during the Holiday season, or Christmas season, lots of gifts are given, and some gifts will be returned. From all the gifts we got from our wedding, we really mostly found us returning duplicate gifts, but even then I would feel bad if the other people would know we were returning these gifts, even though Melody always reminds me they probably don’t even care. Anyway, there is one story I thought I might share because I thought it was funny. There was one gift that Henry Yang and Christine Kwak gave, a cubby from Pottery Barn. Christine sent hers first, then Henry thereafter. So we flipped a coin, and Chrstine’s cubby won and Henry’s went back to the store. So I went in and Pottery Barn says they have to send it back and then I get a gift card, which I said I guess, but that is how it is done. Anyway, the guy at the register told me 5-10 days I would get the card and made sure to let me know it was coming to me and not to the sender, because as we both joked “how awkward if the other person knew we were returning this.” … Anyway, 6 weeks later and no card, I called Pottery Barn to ask where the card was, and they told me they made a mistake and they credited the credit card for whoever purchased it. They apologized and said they would send a card out to me right away, which I believe to be more than they previously said it would be, so it looks like Henry got a gift, got his money back, and we got store credit. Win-Win-Win #Michelle Bachmann ….However Henry knew he got the money back a long time ago and didn’t say anything which he probably thinks is really weird, but who knows.

7. USC vs Cal basketball tickets. – Please not UCLA, they are playing at the Sports Arena and I would fear for my life if I went there.

8.  A trendy jacket – I don’t want anyone to wear it a lot, and if it is a leather jacket, just make sure to include the receipt

9. GIFT CARDS!! – Costco, Ikea, Marshalls, ITUNES, Trader Joes, Amazon,Foot Locker, Starbucks, or just surprise me…..

10. Disneyland Tickets – Melody and myself won’t pay, but if someone else does, we will use those tickets, or even Knotts Berry Farm, or Sea World, but not Six Flags. Actually Sea World tickets would be pretty awesome

- Now that Harry Potter is coming to LA is there ever a reason to live anywhere else? Or is the real question are the real wizards who control the Republican Party going to finally destroy Occupy LA? It has been really windy lately, I am just saying? Wizards are in LA and Hary Potter is real.

- I did something really dumb at work today. I probably do a lot of dumb things, but today was one of the lower moments. I just hope everyone forgets about it, and I can go back to being the best “secretary” at Bank of America. That’s right, I have a new nickname since I take notes in meetings; Mr. Secretary. Although, it isn’t as bad as you think, because I would like to believe reading my recap of meetings is the highlight of everyone’s day, so maybe today or these last few weeks isn’t as bad as I think it is. Or maybe management will finally realize my genius and give me more responsibility to make a bigger positive impact. But one day I will become CEO, that time just isn’t now.

- The dog who shot the owner story is classic. And if they legalize horse meat in the US, what are we going to do about the shortage of glue sticks in public schools? Has anyone done a cost-analysis on this.

-Melody got a new phone and she keeps texting me “QWERTY”… I don’t even know what that means

- Every time someone tries to check me into USC on FACEBOOK I get embarrassed that I am a part of the ministry for our church at USC. I just don’t know how my friends at Cal would feel about this betrayal. Praise God for grace, and for the International student Bing who just committed his life to Christ. God is good, even at USC.

- Justin Hong is my hero. 31 miles!>@>@>! That’s like 3 half marathons.

But what made me really need to post was I couldn’t hold back my feelings any longer when the UCLA fan at work made the comment that UCLA lost to USC so bad because they were looking ahead to the Championship game…. She really said it, and she meant it. She also complained how she didn’t like the uniforms, but if UCLA won 50-0 I have a feeling she might not have felt that way. The only way Oregon loses this game is if they don’t play it.

Just wanted to make sure I made the statement that Matt Kemp was robbed for MVP, and anyone who thinks Braun deserved MVP just doesn’t love baseball. Dodgers will be a playoff team next year I am sure of that..

If you haven’t tried the $1.99 Safeway breakfast sandwich you need to. It is so good. Just make sure to get tomato and get bacon instead of ham of course.

My Mom said the Thanksgiving turkey’s name this year was Fedor because she had to wrestle with it all day long. Needless to say it was the best turkey of all time.

I am really scared of older Korean people. It is just one false move and you have no idea what could happen next. One minute you try to ask if the tip is included because you don’t want to under pay, the next moment she is calling you fat because you don’t want to pay for the one six-year-old child to eat. If I were walking down an alley late at night and there were 3 – 250 pound men in hoods ( any race ) or one 45-year-old Korean woman, I would cross the street to the 3 men, because you never know what to expect with Koreans. And I am not being racist either, I capitalized Koreans to show my respect, but if you ever go anywhere where Koreans are in charge, just make sure you bring a Korean with you who speaks Korean or you are putting your life in danger. Also sidenote: Koreans are way ruder than Americans, but they still get treated better, is that racism or grace?

I saw a woman get dropped off on the freeway. I wish I was a part of that carpool discussion. “Yeah, I can take you home, but I am not getting off the freeway?” “You’re the best Francine.”

Just really excited for NBA to start, for Rockets to begin with their new young team, and to defend my Fantasy basketball championship. Cannot wait for Christmas, and still holding out for Yao to return.  Sidenote: props to the Texans for not signing Brett Favre, we are thankful for you common sense.

- Went to Chik-Fil-A yesterday. Got the Abraham Lincoln DVDs from History channel yesterday too, and met international USC students who thought Berkeley was the greatest school ever and wanted to study the Bible to know who God is. Yesterday had the potential to be the best day of the year for me, and yes, that does include the wedding day.

- Since being married I started drinking Herbal life strawberry shakes everyday. I don’t know what it is about these shakes, but I feel like I am getting better vitamin intake, and it really gets me going to start my day. Who knew these shakes could be so good? And what is worse is I bet other people knew about these shakes and didn’t tell me about it. I wasted years of my life on slim-fast.

- Really sad about the NBA not starting on time this year. Deep down I keep thinking Yao Ming could return after all this rest, but maybe that is more of just a pipe dream.

- Did I mention the Dodgers were being sold??

- There has been rumors of a potential race between myself and Oscar Valencia on November 18th. We are still working out the details for the time and location and drug testing and distance, but trust me Oscar wants no part of this. We just started calling him Floyd Mayweather at work because he’s so scared.

- Herman Cain…. reaction? He probably did something, but probably not like as bad as people make it out to be, but one thing I do know is the Rick Perry video in New Hampshire is waaaaay worse. I am not sure how we could elect that man after watching that video, and props to Jon Stewart for the hilarious clip that I was able to watch to witness that.

- The occupy wall street movement is interesting. I just hope they don’t do an occupy the world protest, because I think like 99% of the US  would be part of the 1%. Crazy how perspective can change everything. All I know is Acorn needs to stop rioting and ruining America, especially in Oakland….

-Today while driving I almost fell asleep while driving, but thankful the guy beside me honked to wake me up as I was drifting into his lane. Nothing keeps you awake better than knowing you could have been seriously hurt.

- Went to the Dentist on Halloween. Yes, I am that guy.

- Still strong on Cal’s bandwagon, still love Tedford, but getting much more excited for basketball season and Jorge’s senior year. Also really excited about the Bills and LA Kings and what they can do this year.

- I get scared every time Obama does an executive order that our economy might start recovering. But then I remember that in a few weeks the debt super committee is going to solve nothing and the USA will again resort to be a bunch of squabbling kids and I can relax again.

-Started Tebowing all the time at work. Much more fun than planking because you don’t have to lie face down. Also a great witnessing opportunity.

- At work today I cannot count how many times I told someone that I love how they dressed up as beautiful for halloween.
